WhY Choose Ambercask?

We are young, and with youth comes an unbridled enthusiasm and a fresh perspective to appreciating this sublime spirit. We aim to bring our accomplished presentation skills and banish the image that only stuffy disdainful matured men in smoking jackets can truly appreciate whisky. This is achieved whilst remaining respectful to the history, esteem and reverence afforded to this "aqua vitae".

Whisky tastings can be intimidating affairs, with lots of strange protocol, terminology and someone professing to be tasting pencil shavings and essence of First Aid box. We make whisky tasting more accessible with our unique presentations, focussing more on the science behind the broader flavour profiles and not recommending whiskies that taste like the inside of your school desk.

We are totally independent of the industry and so there are no vested interests swirling beneath our presentations - we tell it how we taste it and attempt to navigate you through the fog of marketing dregs.

Who are Ambercask?

AmberCask was founded by Alex whilst completing his PhD in Cancer Therapy, in order to pursue fresh interests beyond scientific research. Alex manages a collection numbering hundreds of whiskies and so decided to turn the hobby into something more meaningful. There are now several of us working at AmberCask, and a number of investors in the whisky club. We are a young business, but we are determined to be the biggest brand in single malt whisky appreciation.
